best family first things you probably received in this business line time is it don't worry that's what this presentation is all about Chromebook 101 without further Ado let's go ahead and Jump Right In welcome to Chromebook 101 today we're going to go over the basics of Chromebook what we're going to do is I'm going to go over things are going to help you get started what we're going to cover today is the keyboard layout to keyboard shortcuts the things you can press on the keyboard to get a and desktop and okay this is the Chromebook keyboard is layout and keys that we're going to go over this key up here in the top right corner of the keyboard this is the power pressing and holding this down if a computer has already on it can lock your screen and allow you to step away from the Chromebook when you return to the Chromebook you'll need to put your password back in and log back in over here we have the brightness he's the one on the right but you brighten the screen in the one who left dims the screen these are the volume tease you press the one with the plus next to it to increase volume to decrease volume in the one with the X to me the volume over here we have the control shift and ALT Keys these are important Keys remember when we get to keyboard shortcuts on the other side of the on the other side of the keyboard you can see that we actually do Ctrl alt and shipped okay these are the keyboard shortcut as you can see here there's a different kind of pressed together at the same time they'll do different things will start in the top right-hand corner if you want to copy text you wrote from one. and put it into another document you used to copy paste message you highlight the text you want to copy you hold them control you pressing that copies to text when you go to the document that you want to put any pressure control old bag down in price and that paste it into the new document so control C to copy control key to paste down below. You can see that you have our ability to zoom in and out on ask if you want to zoom in you hold on control can you press the plus button that Suzanne control shift in the minus button out so again it's control ship plus Disease Control shift - to zoom out now it's too far in are you too far out and you're not quite sure how to that's where you want to be no worries just Ctrl shift and 0 and it'll take you back right to where you need to be working in a document or you're working in something and you actually did something while you're out document or the slide that you didn't want to do don't worry Ctrl + z undo an action once you've undone the action it's undone but let's say you you would hit Ctrl Z and you actually wanted just say that you change your mind don't worry Ctrl shift c will redo something that you just did so to undo an action is control Z and to redo an action is Ctrl shift what's a year working in in canvas open on one tab you got to class rules and on another tab you've got a document you're working on it and another cop oh my gosh no worries if you had control shift than tea it'll reopen Amy recently closed browser tabs again that's control shift that reopens Amy recently closed browser tabs all right this is the desktop and setting another stamp the bottom of the screen you will see the different different things that are pinned to the bottom that you see Google classrooms icon to the Chrome Google Chrome internet browser will be paying down there you'll see something spend on this that aren't actually there those are things that you can add through settings and customisation later that you can add different apps that are already on the device to be pin to your screen on the far left you have a little circle the bottom left there yet little circle that is so launcher any apps that are downloaded onto the Chromebook can be launched from there now over in the bottom right-hand side you'll see a battery lice I love you first you see your your icon then you have the battery life that you have the connection internet in the time moving from right to left if you press down in that area open up a little menu like this at the Taco see that it says this devices by now on this one says lpsb.org Under the Sea ccsd.net that basically means that your Chromebook is owned and operated by the district and they can make any changes that they make software updates that sort of thing internet connection then you'll have a little volume slider you can slide the volume to the left or to the right for her louder and this is if you don't use those keyboard keys right here at the settings button I'm not going to go in it opens up all the different settings including as well as being able to ever do want to accidentally is that part put that little gear wheel and turn off those settings as well hey that's it we made it to Chromebook 1011 class down I hope you guys have a great school year and remember
