hi and welcome to getting started with distance learning Weldon Mantua Elementary guys you know know how lucky you are to go to this amazing school with some of the coolest ever and you're going to love it here so what I'm going to do today is I'm going to offer you a quick guy for the first day of school this year we're doing things way different than we ever have before yesterday maybe going to school at home that's going to be a little bit different and it's going to be a little bit harder but I know you can do it and I'm here to help and this is a guide to help you out on your first day at school so welcome center Birds yes you're now a man's Thunderbird our mascot honors the Air Force's Elite jet Pilots the Thunderbirds first I'm going to tell you how to use Clapper it's a password manager which means it will save all your passwords for websites you go to a lot easier that's what I thought about using them as canvases the name of one of their websites we will use in our classroom you will return and you also be turning in your  and I'll show you how to use that we're going to do class meet several times each day at a manse elementary school we use Google meet imma show you how to use Google meet so you can join your class and a sit-in on all the lessons in last thing I want to talk to you about is the ways you can contact your teacher the best ways you can do right now is email but very soon and your teacher will be sending you up with JoJo which is a website called ClassDojo and it it's a good way for parents and teachers communicate using text message I'm assuming since my wife in this video that you have already logged into your Chromebook but if you haven't let me show you a few things first your username login will beer Clark County School CCSD Google email you should have gotten that with your Chromebook you should have also got your password but he didn't it's not that hard to figure out the first four numbers are the year you were born so if you're born in two you put 2011 the next two numbers of the month you were born so if you were born in February which is the second month of the year you would put in 02 for the second month of the year if you were born in December with the last month of the year has 12 months a year you will put in one to the last two numbers are the day you were born June 8th 04 08 or any number that has not does not have two digits so that's how you login I assume you already have remembered it's the four-digit year the to do images of birthday all right clever I'll be showing you how to use clever in just one second before I show you a demonstration I like to explain what it is clever is something we're going to be using everyday when you login to clever it will allow you to easily login without passwords without usernames to a lot of the sites we use so clever is a really useful tool now in Chrome browser you will type in clever. Ccsd.net or you can just Google it if you do but you don't want to do Google just Clapper Google Cloud CCSD do you always just say yes and go ahead and click on login with Google all right don't you guys ever going to open campus the one that we used almost every day in almost every class so you just going to go ahead and double click on the campus logo it looks like there s so I'd like to show you now step back how to get to campus the best way to get there so we'll start out with clever Google Google by hitting the multicolored Google ball clever and then and then I'm going to type in CCSD that short for Clark County School District and then I'm just going to go back to sleep enter button search open up like this what is Ohm's all alarms there is a reading app very nice if you want to read books they have thousands of books to choose from different grade levels different subjects some patience and nonfiction website to check out clicking on and just one second and then the one we have is I ready you will be using this almost every day this is a big part of her math problems as well as a big part of our reading program the only one down here rc3000 and Setter school but we are all would you see her right here that is our Wonders reading program I'm heading back to the rescue with button teacher, a lot more messages and you may that's okay only sport button SS publishes published different movies out on switch and as I said before This is Gospel want to be friends. Now it will take you to a new page in your language answer your class password right here. You should Supply this to you there for every class put in your password you just said contain me and bring them up to make sure your mic your phone is off this is the microphone button if it's red it's off if you is away from being red and I mean that your microphone is now on and everyone can hear what you say the best way to say cheers already that way so when you want to join join now and it will bring you to the meeting this another way to join me some teachers instead of you use links I do is take it right into the Google search bar and hit answer again it will bring you right to the screen without a passport this time and all you're going to do is hit showing now all right so at Mantua Elementary we have several different special classes you get to go to every day once a week once a day excuse me you will go to either art steam wood stands for science technology engineering art and Mathematics library or music now or special move the password so what meet. Google password it's still easy but just a little it's right there so it's all one word art is mass chart one through the only one with the number PE man steam Library one word man swiper and music all one word Mansion music your teacher will tell you where you have special and what special you have that day so don't worry too much you can always ask your teeth for the password if you forget it alright let's move on contacting your teacher what's the best way to get in contact with your teacher since you were just starting a man's you cannot be connected to your teachers ClassDojo sure she will go you that information very soon so that you will be contacted but if you need to contact your teacher right away to do that right now is email let me show you how to send an email Batman Elementary Google email to call Gmail the first thing you're going to do is open the right in the Google page and then go to female and bring you to the next page if your teacher and email you're going to need to hit the plus button that's going to add an email plus means add so it makes good sense once you hit that button you will get go to the next page in this little message Bob button and it says to so when you wear UC to you type your teacher's name please type your teachers full name if you know it it'll make the message so much easier to go through it so instead of just typing mr. Mark Lester me my first name is Joel see what type Joel Marquess and if you get it teacher man you're going to see a little bracket Advanced there that's open that you got the right School she doing good if you see that it don't see that there's a good chance email will not go through so go ahead and put it in his full name and hope that this ancho's up if it does you did it right then I have to do is type the subject if you're contacting your students teacher you might just say student in psychology I think you're going to do is type your message and the message goes right into the subject type everything you need to stay there and then at the very end of course we push send if you don't push it teacher will not get the message so don't forget to push send that's how we sent two emails in CCSD and Atman Telemetry now the last way I want to talk to you about teacher is Class Dojo every teacher man's uses Class Dojo it's basically a messaging app that allows the teachers to text back and forth with the parents and makes things a little bit quicker and a little bit easier and it helps keep you in so you have contact with your teacher they will help you get connected to class dojo please use it please check it tell your parents music tell your parents to check it because it's very helpful and we'll make sure that you know all the info information you need to know well that's about all I have to say food for I have one more question though what if I need help with something cuz I really mean that man out here to help you succeed thank you teacher first if you need any help of any time we understand the distance learning can be difficult don't worry we understand and we're here to assist you every step of the way never ever hesitate to contact your teacher if you need anything at all that's why we're here.
